My daughter has a professional position and has a limited wardrobe. She buys top-of-the-line expensive mix and match clothes which she wears often. Of course she launders them daily.

As for the reason...

...she does like a certain style and color combo and she does stay in her income bracket as to not run up her credit cards.

Hope this is helpful info.

btw, thanks for stoppin' by my blog again and have a Great Day! :-)

Hygene and skin infections like 'sweat acne' or folleculitis on your back or body is the most important reason to change clothes everyday.

I wear only black clothes. And I see nothing wrong with that, I am far from gothic and no where close to tryin to look evil. I make my black clothes look very stylish. To me wearin black can be just as modest and stylish as wearin anything esle. Im not into clothes, If the world had no sin I would love to be free(naked I mean :) Im not into labels either and also, not too many colors look good on me. But, black looks fabulous on me and I make it even more glamourous because I'm confident in what I choose to wear, oh yeah and did I mention I could careless what someone has to say about it? I mean it is my style preferance. I'm just not a young lady whom most of her peers are trend followers. I make my own trend. And my trend is adorable-2-sexy black clothing. Gotta luv it ;) I say be you, as long as your clean and decent their shouldnt be anything wrong with wearin what u choose to wear, even if its almost the exact if not same outfit everyday. Tip:Wash clothing every other day to prevent bad smell...lol

I am one of those people. I'm in college, and I think that out of shear laziness, I just wear jeans and a white shirt every day. I have a ton of them, and I change 'em every day. As for why, first of all, it's really cheap; but my parents are always offering to buy me clothes so that doesn't really count. Otherwise, it's just nice not having to worry about being stylish or where I am in a wardrobe rotation. I'm not a communist or anything, but I just like to focus more on my studies and more esoteric aspects of my life than on how I present myself to others. I dressed oddly in high school, but I had a normal 3-4 week rotation. It's just that in college, I wake up, go to class for an hour, and then go back to sleep in my dorm room. Much of the time I just wear boxers in the halls and to the dining hall, much to the chagrin of my roommate. Maybe I should stop cuz I haven't had a girlfriend in a while.

yes, I wear the same jeans and tshirt every day (clean underwear everyday though), because I'm lazy, and I really don't look good in anything else, I have a really difficult figure to clothe, and I loath shopping - I usually go to charity shops, cos somehow it takes the 'choice' factor out of my hands!! I've never changed my hairstyle - it's always long. Also now with 2 kids and a thesis to write, I just don't have the urge to style up.

Edward

Yep. That's me. Blue collared dress shirt and brown dungarees. Casual Oxfords. And there's nothing wrong with it. Five pairs of the same. I'm in school and don't have the brain power to worry about how to impress people.

I work in retail and get paid peanuts to dress up everyday in a place where it would matter. I just love my co-workers that I have had over the years who make nothing like me and spend a lot on clothing and love it. I'd rather wear the same clean clothing everyday than have to do this dressing-up nonsence. Too costly!

There are people in this world who care about more than just clothes --- and I am thankful for them... It's people like you, who nit pick what others wear, that make this world a judgemental place where people have to pretend what they aren't.
"And do they realize that we notice" --- if your spending time posting about this and analyzing which each person wears -- you have a problem... get a hobby.

UH2L

Sarah B.

Sorry for the late response. What you choose to wear is your choice and it does save money to wear the same things repeatedly.

DM,
I'm not a nitpicker, but the large majority of people, probably 97% of the people wear different clothes every day. Just because I notice that other people wear the same thing every day doesn't mean I'm judgmental. In fact, I'm not judgmental at all and I am so not into clothes or labels. You shouldn't judge me based on my post. I just like variety in the clothes I wear. I notice everything and writing about what I notice is one of my hobbies, and I don't have a problem.

Take care,
Atul

I wear the same thing everyday to work, and i love it! i save a fortune, people in other jobs even say to me i wish i had a uniform so i didnt have to worry what i was going to wear the next day. there are more important things in life than consumer goods and materialistic items like clothes, as long as they are kept clean its fine! absolutely!

Jane Louisse

Perhaps they just don't have enough time to worry about what they're wearing. Or maybe it's more convenient to wear the first thing they see, which just happens to be what they wore the day before.

UH2L

Jane,

The time factor is something I never considered. I don't take too much time to decide. (It usually depends on what is clean and unwrinkled :-) ). Wearing what they wore the day before is no problem until it gets dirty and smelly. That's why they should have multiple sets of the same clothes and just rotate.

Charles Brooks

So I do wear different clothes or outfits everyday. However, I do wear alot of different styles of jeans. I recently had a incident where I happen to wear a shirt to the same restaurant. I had not wore this shirt for like a month because I rotate my outfits. Consequence I went into this place with my fiancee. I remember the waitress noticing it and a few people laughing. It was embarrassing, but honestly doest it really matter? Who cares if you wear the same type of jeans and have fifteen pairs. I am a label guy, I just think myself and other people are superficial. Because there is people who have to wear the same outfit everywhere they go, whether washed or not. This world is to judgemental. Im 25 now and realize it doesnt really matter and regret how geared toward labels I was. The truth is if it is clean and you like wearing it who cares what other people think? Seriously it was stated earlier if people notice and laugh and giggle its their insecurities. You dont know if that person has a financial situation or they just are secured with themselves. I think as long as it is not a hygience problem, people should really not care. Poeple will notice but its not that big of a deal.People should care about a person's character not what they had on last week.

UH2L

Charles,

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. Where do you live? LA? I was thinking the somewhat superficial there might be why they laughed at you. I like variety in the clothes I wear too. But there are varying degrees of variety and what people wear doesn't really matter. We should judge people for what they are on the inside.

I just notice it because it is the minority of people who wear the same outfit all the time. And then I wonder what motivates them to do that. Other people will eventually notice. Some people might assume that a person is wearing the same exact clothes, unwashed. Others have multiple copies of the same outfit but other people can't know for sure.

Charles Brooks

Believe or not I actually live in Hawaii. Im in the armed forces, its pretty expensive out here too. Yeah its crazy that people are so supeficial. I mean I personally can't wear the same shirt everyday but if someone wore the same shirt somewhere. I wouldnt care, people just assume way to much. Its totally wrong. I can't blame you for thinking that because you seem them everyday. But my story I just thought people are really shallow. My fiancee on the other hand she has tons of clothes but is totally confident in herself she would wear the exact same outfit same place and feel comfortable.

Jerina

I think it doesn't matter if a person wears the same clothes.. so what right? If it's clean, then it's fine. People who judge other people based on what they wear are people who are materialistic and superficial. You should a person character and personally by getting to know them, instead of just judging them straight away by looking at the materials they put on.

Vanessa

I wear pretty much the same thing everyday. I'm a young professional, and appearances make a difference in my workplace. I prefer to spend more money of articles of clothing that are tailored and fit me perfectly. I wear the same thing because I know exactly what looks best on me and stick with it. I accessorize with jewellery and scarves, and I often get complimented on my appearance. I'd rather spend $150 on 1 well-made, tailored-to-me shirt than buy 10 ill-fitted 'blah' shirts.

Crystal

Hi Atul. Maybe you shouln't spend your time writing stupid idiotic 'blogs' and maybe get a medusa piercing or do some sport. You are obviously making up this so-called 'life' of yours, and have never had any kind of relationship. I wouldn't put it past you being a virgin. Please stop stating the very obvious, get an education, have a couple of summer flings, drink yourself into oblivion occasionaly and GET SOME FRIENDS! Oh yeah, by the way, my mexican hairless has more fashion sense than you!

UH2L

Hi Crystal.

Maybe you should get some guts and comment under your email address. You don't know me so your opinions about me are worthless. My guess is that you're just being defensive about wearing the same clothes every day. That's OK. I won't hold it against you.

Thanks for reading and commenting by the way.

Desperate Mom

My daughter wears they same thing nearly every day, but she showers. It started as a sensory thing and now it may be anxiety, I don't know. She is under extra ridacule over it now, and I am a desperate mom. Think before you judge .... sometimes it is not a choice!
