It's official. The Detroit Pistons traded first round draft pick Darko Milicic and point guard Carlos Arroyo for Orlando's Cato and a 2007 first-round draft pick. (See Detroit News)
I think it was a smart move by Dumars and club. This gives the Pistons a very good position to resign Ben Wallace this summer and Chauncey Billups in the summer of 2007. Besides, Darko really has not been able to perform on a team that didn't need another big man. It's probably a great move for him.
I'm just a little sad to see Arroyo go. He's got trickery up his sleeve when he's on the court. But, with Lindsay Hunter back in action and Carlos Delfino as back-up point guards, the Pistons are still in excellent shape.
