Denise Dennard on Quick Quote On Living. In response to 'Living is dwelling on the future.' The gift of life is very precious and at one time or another we have all taken our gift for granted. I believe the reason for this is because we do not understand who our creator is and our purpose for life. As far as dwelling on the future is concerned, we have no control over it as the course of our lives can change at any given moment. Don't think so, we can not turn our brains off at will or stop a brand new baby from being born. During the birthing process, this precious little baby is coming into this world whether it is wanted or not because the life force that is in control of his/her little life is NOT in our power. I call that life force God and I believe in Son, the Christ. I am sure that many of you disagree but that is okay, because simply put, it is how I choose to live my life. Respectfully, I disagree with the statement 'living is dwelling on the future.' Life is so much more than this, it is the present. How I choose to treat others and interact in this world this very second is life.
This by no means is an excuse for not making plans regarding our education, marriage and financial future but to dwell on these things would be drain on life. However, it is a conscious choice to do the best I can with the resources I have, treat others with kindness, forgive the hurts I've experienced and depend upon the grace of a loving God to move on. Living is now.
