That is an excellent point! I have become very negligent about keeping up to date with a Yahoo account I have, I barely check it once a week, and it builds up with email from companies I've given my address to. It's become a real problem, and I think I need to try and unsubscribe from some of them! It's annoying how many websites send out email so frequently when most people probably don't want anymore once they've purchased something.

Rob,
The point you make kind of points out the opposite problem. With spam and commercial emails, checking email more often is a good thing because you can keep up with deleting them.
